In case you didn't notice, the forums have been upgraded. What this means to you is that nothing is where it's supposed to be, and all your settings need to be, um, re-set.

Things are not quite finished yet, still need to tidy up a bit, but if you run into any major problems, please let me know. You will probably all have to reset your clock settings in your profile, as I think the upgrade returned them all to default.

Yeah, it's a wee bit fancier.

Couple of notes:

-You may have noticed that on the old board the post icons on the left side of the screen would be dark or light depending on whether there were new posts in that forum. That is still the case, although everyones icons are probably now dark (unread status). To fix this, go to the bottom of the main forum page, and click the "Mark Board as Read" link. This will set all the icons to light (read status) and you will be back on track.

-There is a LOT more in the personal profile areas, spend a few minutes checking out some of the new features. One of the neat ones is a Facebook integration- you will see the Facebook Connect when you login now, which can be used to link your facebook account to the forums. This will (theoretically) sync your Facebook profile pick, status, and/or "about me" info with the Forum. Settings for this feature can be found in your profile settings. Not sure if this function is working fully, Hu and I are still messing around with it.

- The new "sidebar" feature can be pretty much fully customized- other elements can be added there, or taken away. Any thoughts on additions or removals, let me know. You can retract it by hitting the "x" button at the top right of the sidebar, then restore it with the little arrow buttton which appears after it's hidden.

- Hopefully in the near future (it's still under development) I will also be adding a mobile skin to the forum for those of you accessing via smartphones or pda's. Ulfr.
